Majith Root Powder - Manjistha Root Powder - Manjith Powder - Majeeth Powder - Madder Powder - Rubia cordifolia Powder
Manjistha, sometimes referred to as Indian Madder, is one of the most powerful herbs for cleaning the blood.
It is generally used to remove blood clots and alleviate impediments in the blood flow.
Both topically and orally applied manjistha herb can be used to induce skin lightening.
Using Manjistha powder with honey or rose water (at least 2-3 times a week) helps treat acne and pimples by preventing the growth of acne-causing bacteria due to its antioxidant characteristics.
Topical application of Manjistha oil and coconut oil reduces inflammation and skin rashes related to acne because of their anti-inflammatory qualities.
Additionally, it helps maintain thick, glossy hair.
Rinsing your eyes with Manjistha decoction can help control excessive watery discharge due to its astringent characteristics.
Manjistha's Guru and Kashaya qualities might cause constipation when consumed in excess.
It is best to take Manjistha with hot water if you already have a digestive issue.
1. Skin disorder
One of the best herbs for treating all types of skin issues is manjistha.
An imbalance in the Pitta dosha vitiates the blood and prevents it from operating normally.
Skin problems like redness result from this.
Manjistha assists in the treatment of all skin issues as well as blood purification.
This is due to the herb's abilities to balance Pitta and act as a blood purifier (Raktashodhak).
Tips:
A. Scoop 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of Manjistha powder.
B. Take it after lunch and dinner with honey or water to lessen the signs of a skin condition.
2. Constipation
- Diarrhoea can be effectively treated with manjistha.
- Diarrhoea is referred to as Atisar in Ayurveda.
- Poor nutrition, tainted water, pollution, stress, and Agnimandya (weak digestive fire) are the main causes.
- These factors all have a role in the vata's aggravation.
- This heightened Vata pulls fluid from various body tissues into the intestines and combines it with the waste.
- This results in diarrhoea or loose, watery bowel motions.
- Diarrhoea can be controlled by manjistha.
- This is due to its Deepan (appetiser) and Pachan (digestive), which heighten digestive fire, characteristics.
- Stools get thicker as a result, and bowel motions become less frequent.
- Manjistha also lessens bleeding because of its Kashaya (astringent) characteristics.
A. Use between 1/4 and 1/2 teaspoon of manjistha powder.
